It's estimated that 1,000 household fires are started by pets each year. National Pet Fire Safety day brings awareness to pet owners and offers preventative measures that can be taken in order to help keep your pets safe. After all, most of us consider our pets to be family! An important part of being a responsible pet owner includes alerting rescuers of pets in the home with a window sticker, pet-proofing your home, and developing a pet-friendly escape route.

- Extinguish Open Flames
- Pet-proof your Home
- Secure young pets
